The Punjab government launched a new literary award in the name of the Padmasri poet, the Litter Iringa Patra. It is named as “Dr. Surgeit Pattar Youth Sahitya Award”. This award gave the young writers who had a great deal in the literary area

- Age limit – less than 25 years
- Educational Qualification – Educational Qualification – An University, College or School.

- To join the competition, one should apply for four books.
- These books are only included in 2024.
- A certificate of school, college or university books will be given.
